Chennai Live 104.8 FM, my hometown Chennai's only English radio station, has a program called "Paperback" with Jane Ram (she calls herself "Jane the Book Chick") on Saturdays from 11-1. My interview with Jane will be broadcast over 2 hours on Saturday, 5th Jan 2013, from 11 am - 1 pm. We had a great chat about the book and the themes behind it, and I hope you enjoy the broadcast, if you can catch it! Unfortunately, there is no internet stream, although I'm trying to get a recording that I can then host on this site. In the meantime, enjoy this picture of Jane and me in the studio! The Anza Deception has begun to get reviewed. Here are a few that appeared:
Deepashri at Postnoon, Hyderabad wrote a nice review, although she got my name (Ganapathy) mixed up with one of the protagonists... (Gopinath) http://postnoon.com/2012/12/15/fact-and-fiction/94773 I particularly liked her opening line: "A book is often judged by its ability to affect its readers. The Anza Deception does exactly that." and her conclusion: "For those well versed in these subjects [military history and geopolitics], it is an enjoyable read. For those who are not, it’s a great place to start." Shriya at Vaultofbooks writes: "It offers a lot of firsts, the main one being that thrillers with military themes NOT dealing with American geo-politics is something relatively new by Indian writers." |
